Night

Tonight
My companions are
The wind
The whispering stream
And the stars.
And when
The owls, the cats, the birds
Fall silent
All that can be heard
Is
The wind rushing
Like a tide through the trees
The stream hushing
On its way to the sea.
And glancing down
Praps the wind sees the stream
A reflection
Of sorts
As if seen in a dream.
Both the air and the water
At the beck and the call
Of the sea
And above them
Orion shines
And peers down at me
A reflection
Of sorts
As if seen through a dream
Of somewhere I'm going
And somewhere I've been.
